One Cool Thing

Don’t put too much on your toast.

The universal mistake with any strong spread, is putting way too much on your toast. So, Marmite has taken a very fun and different approach to teach everyone how best to use the spread. Amongst other weird and wonderful things we have loved this week is the campaign from Chewy. We all know pets aren’t just pets, but rather they are our beautiful furbabies. Although we may not want to admit it, we probably like our pets a bit more than we like people. So the pet supplies brand has taken a humorous approach to show just that, using perfect voice overs and varying comedic scenarios. Channelling other comedic scenarios is Pinterest. As a well-established brand with a large user base, it is not hard for them to draw on relatable user experiences to capture attention, evident in their ‘It’s possible, by Pinterest’ campaign. Check out the links to these fabulous campaigns below!

Love it. Hate it. Get it on

We’ve all seen Vegemite’s recent campaign, tapping the well of nostalgia to play up the meaning of the brand in Aussie’s lives. Now their yeasty cousins from the Northern Hemisphere are having their own go with a very different angle. Playing up their iconic ‘you either love it or you hate it’ truth, with an ad that you’ll either love or hate. We love it.

Pets aren't just pets

A lovely little series from online pet supplies brand Chewy, who playfully bring to life the meaningful value pets bring to our lives. We love the execution on this one; from simple witty scripts, to the CGI pets. Not to mention the exquisite choice of VO for each animal.

It's possible, by Pinterest

Wrapping up this week with a pitch perfect series from Pinterest, who nail the use case and value they offer with a series of short user moments dripping with touches of culture. A bit of a flex from Pinterest, as they drop any pretence to explain what’s going on, because you know, and you’re already imagining what your episode would look like.
